Dinghy racing takes place every Sunday from the 3rd Sunday in March until the 2nd Sunday in December with one Sunday off when the club goes to the Lake District for a camping weekend and the opportunity to sail on a larger water than Jumbles reservoir.

At Jumbles we practice handicap racing there being no one design fleets. This allows sailors to sail any type of dinghy they choose. To race, however, there must be a PY number for their type of boat.

There are four series shields (Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter) with a fair sprinkling of trophy days interspaced.
