Club House & Facilities The Club has excellent facilities. The large clubhouse is right on the bank of the reservoir; it has a comfortable, well-furnished lounge complete with a well-stocked bar. The picture windows overlook the water and provide an excellent view of the reservoir and boats sailing. There is a well-equipped galley (kitchen) from which hot drinks are served and from which members provide lunch on a rota basis on Sundays during the season. There is a large 'wet' area for members in sailing gear and both male and female changing rooms with toilets and hot showers. A large car park is adjacent to the clubhouse, as is an equally large boat park. The latter has access direct to the water via a concrete launching ramp. Lawns outside the clubhouse provide a perfect picnic spot on warm days and a club barbecue is available. Outside Official Club Hours, when the clubhouse is closed, alternative changing and toilet facilities are available together with a telephone in case of emergency and a kettle for making hot drinks. The Club has an extensive library of books on sailing which are available to members on loan. In November 2009 a major new club-house extension project was started to provide a new rescue boat storage area and brand new changing facilities for members. These new changing rooms will allow refurbishment of parts of te old club-house to allow provision of disabled facilities to help make the club more inclusive.
